TEXAS DOG BONES
OK, SO HERE IS A NEW RECIPE FOR SOME TASTY DOG TREATS. (VERY EASY TO MAKE AND QUITE DELICIOUS...I KNOW BECAUSE I ATE THREE OF THE DOG BISCUITS MYSELF AND CAN'T STOP SALAVATING.)
Here are the ingredients that you will need to make these Texan dog bones...(1 pound organic chicken; 1 pound bacon; 1 cup of blueberries; 1/4 cup of carrots; 15 cups of flour; 2 cans of organic pumpkin; 1 can of peas; 2 eggs; one tablespoon of agave; water)
Remove the chicken from the package and bake it in a skillet or in your new NUWAVE machine that your wife wanted to return to the store because she thought it a piece of garbage. But, NOW, she loves it!!! Yeah, one point for the husband...
cook for 20 minutes @ 360
if you cook on your stove top or bake it in the oven: 360 degrees for 30 minutes.
Flour and plenty of it. I started with 9 cups by had to add another 5 cups near the end.
grab two eggs. Crack the shells and add to the flour.
Next comes the pumpkin and peas. You will need two cans of pumpkin and one can of peas.
open up all three cans and toss into the mixture.
add one tablespoon of Agave Nectar
Now, if you accidently add a tad bit more to your mixture...No problem.
Ok, now it starts getting interesting and somewhat complicated. Step 1. plug the chopper/grinder into the wall socket. Step 2. add one cup of blueberries + 1/4 cup of carrots and 1/4 cup of water into the chopper and fire that baby up. Blend the shit out of it.
Yeah, it's complicated!!!!!!
Looks tasty!!!
Blend..Blend…..BLEND!!!
Pour the mixture into the bowl.
ok, the chicken is fully cooked.
This would be a good time for you to pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. (Yes, we are getting ready for Thanksgiving)
Grease up the pans; place parchment paper into the trays to allow easy clean up. I would be lying if I said that I actually cleaned up my mess today. My wife actually got saddled with this chore as she is the one that insisted I make new cookies for her dog friends in Waco, Texas.
Ah, the number one ingredient that saves everything and makes life tasty. BACON.
This is our cat, Frankenstein. He is a demon and think he rules the house. Frankenstein was waiting to nibble on the chicken and bacon and anything else that might fall to the floor.
Cut the bacon into tiny bits and cook. The NUWAVE took about 15 minutes @400 degrees.
While waiting for the bacon to fully cook, I decided to cut up the chicken into tiny bits so that it would fit into the chopper.
throw the chopped up chicken into the chopper and add 1/4 cup of water. Now Blend away until it looks like baby milk.
Yep, you guessed it. Dracula started to smell the bacon and if there is one thing that dogs love....IT'S BACON!!!!!!!!!!!
You guessed it. chop up the bacon; add 1/4 cup of water and blend.
Tasty.
No, that is not a stunt double. It is the actual arm of Robert Margetts.
Now, pour the bacon into the mixing bowl..
Needed to add some more flour. Remember, I told you in the beginning that I had to use around 15 cups of flour.
The dog is becoming restless. "Where the hell are my dog bones?"
"Christ, more flour," he said sarcastically. "Where is all the bacon?"
Now comes the fun part. Making the cookies.
I made a real mess of the table!!
Yep, and since we moved, I can't find my rolling pin. Not to worry; a good bottle of red wine will do the trick..
Bake for 1 hour @ 350 degrees or until done.
There you go...Texan dog bones...
